What will you need?

  • Large bowl
  • Kitchen towel
  • Deep frying pan

Ingredients

  • 500 g flour
  • 1 teaspoon of dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 300 ml warm water
  • Oil for frying
  • AOOS butter for brushing on top

Instructions

  1. Dough preparation:
In a large bowl, mix the water with the yeast and sugar. Let it rest for 5 minutes until activated. Add the flour and salt and mix until a soft, slightly sticky dough forms.
  2. Rest:
Cover the bowl with a cloth and let the dough rest for 30 minutes at room temperature.
  3. Frying :
Heat the oil in a deep pan. With wet hands, take small portions of the dough and carefully drop them into the hot oil. Fry until they puff up and turn golden on both sides.
  4. Brushing:
As soon as you remove them from the pan, brush them with melted AOOS butter on top for a wonderful flavor.
  5. Service:
They are served warm, with white cheese, jam, honey, or simply as they are—irresistible.
