Ingredients

  • 300 g AOOS cottage cheese
  • 3 green peppers
  • 2 red peppers
  • 1 hot pepper
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 3 green garlic cloves
  • 1 tablespoon AOOS butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Sautéing the vegetables:
    In a pan with oil, sauté the red peppers cut into medium pieces. Add the green pepper, the green garlic with stems, and the chopped tomatoes. Mix well and let them soften.
  2. Adding the curd cheese:
    Adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper. Add the AOOS curd cheese and stir the fërgesa until it comes together and the mixture thickens slightly.
  3. Baking in the oven:
    Add a tablespoon of AOOS butter on top for extra flavor and sprinkle with paprika. Transfer to a baking dish and bake at 180°C for 15 minutes.
  4. Service:
    Serve warm with toasted bread or as part of a complete traditional meal.
